Albert Buckler

Albert J. "Bud" Buckler, 79, of Durand, IL died at 11:29 am Thursday April 8, 2021 in Monroe Hospice Home after a brief illness. He was born April 12, 1941 in Rockford, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. and Frances E. (Corzine) Buckler. He graduated from Rockford West High School the class of 1959. Married to Jean McDaniel in Rockford, IL on July 25, 1959. Bud was employed as a semi truck driver for A & B Freight retiring in 2000. Member of the Harrison Bible Baptist Church where he was deacon, Sunday school secretary, faithfully serving there for 41 years. He loved trains, going on vacations and traveling. Bud enjoyed riding his scooter all over southwest Wisconsin. Survivors include: wife Jean; son David (Peggy) Buckler; daughter Rebecca (Jeffrey) Gille; son Dan (Crystal) Buckler; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. predeceased by his parents, brother William C. Buckler.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday April 17, 2021 in Harrison Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Steven Love officiating. Burial will be Durand Township Cemetery. A visitation, following COVID 19 guidelines of social distancing and wearing of masks, will be held at the Church from 10:30 am until time of Ceremony Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Rockford Rescue Mission 715 West State Street Rockford, IL 61102.
