Alice Dugan, 100, Bloomingdale, IL formerly of Lake Summerset, IL, died at 10:45 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Belmont Village, Carol Stream, IL.\r\n\r\nBorn March 30, 1919 in Sydney, Australia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Lucy Bridgett (Smith) Fairclough. She graduated from high school in Australia. She came to the United States in 1947 to become the war bride of John Dugan. They were married in St Viator Catholic Church, Chicago, IL on January 11, 1948. She was employed as a secretary by Shoupe Law Office. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Durand, IL and was a former member of St. Beatrice Catholic Church in Schiller Park, IL where she was also a member of the Women’s Guild. Became a member of Lake Summerset with a summer home in 1977 and then retired there full time in 1990.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include sons Rich (Cathy) Dugan, Bloomingdale, IL and Kevin Dugan, Palatine, IL; grandchildren Vicki (Dave) Dobrovolny and Kim (Craig) Sell; great grandchildren Wyatt, Jackson, Sydney, Justin and Erica; niece Michele, nephew Darryl and great niece Stacey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John and sister Norma Rainbow.\r\n\r\nMemorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 606 W. Main Street, Durand, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Durand, IL. Cremation rites were accorded.
