Allyson Monette, South Beloit, Illinois arrived in Heaven on April 28, 2014 after a courageous cancer battle. \r\r\n\r\r\n Allyson was a dedicated member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of South Beloit, serving at the food pantry, A Table for You, as emergency relief coordinator, teaching CCD and giving communion to those unable to attend church. She was most happy when giving of herself to others and being surrounded by family. She was a generous, kind and compassionate person who always put others needs before her own. She loved to garage sale and attend auctions, looking for hidden gems. Allyson was an amazing and inspiring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Her spirit will live on through everyone she impacted. \r\r\n\r\r\n She is missed by many, but survived by her husband, Mark Monette; children, Erin Monette and Ryan (Bridget) Monette; grandson Liam and father and mother-in-law, Greg and Pat Monette. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014 in St. Peter Catholic Church, \r\r\n\r\r\n 620 Blackhawk Blvd, South Beloit, Illinois with Father Steven Sabo officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery, 600 West Street, Rockton, Illinois. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, Illinois from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 2 with the rosary to be recited at 3:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. \r\r\n\r\r\n In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mark Monette for Allyson’s Angels, First National Bank and Trust, 5360 Bridge Street, Roscoe, IL 61073.
