Alyce June (Fosler) Dobbs, 74, Stoughton, WI, passed away at St Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI in the evening of May 15th, 2016 due to complications related to an infection and after fighting a long illness.\r\r\n\r\r\n She was born, the second of three daughters, to Harold M. and Violet E. (Thomas) Fosler on July 9th 1941, in Durand IL, where she attended school, and made many life long friends. She lived for most of her life in Winnebago County, where she married William Holt and raised four children, William (Melodie) of Durand, Bradley, Jacquelyn (Robert) Pryor of Broken Arrow OK and Allyn (David) Miller of Lake Summerset IL. Several years later, she married Charles Dobbs and had one child, Jamie Dobbs (Elizabeth Gardner). In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, Alyce worked several interesting odd jobs, eventually becoming a nurse’s aid and providing in home care. She also enjoyed watching birds, playing cards, doing craft projects, and having coffee with friends.\r\r\n\r\r\n She is survived by four children, Bill, Jackie, Allyn, and Jamie; seven grandchildren, Nikki and Lindsay Rucker, Leann, Lexi, and Allysa Holt and D.J. and Amber Miller; two great-grandchildren, Tayloni and Addicus; one sister, Marjorie Townsend and several nieces and nephews.\r\r\n\r\r\n Alyce was predeceased by her parents, Harold (1998) and Violet (1978); her sister Vicki Fannin (2008); and one son, Bradley S. Holt (1988). 2Corinthians 5 (AMP)\r\r\n\r\r\n Memorial ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016 in McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 W Main Street, Durand, Il with Pastor Brian Channel of Durand United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded.\r\r\n\r\r\nA luncheon will be held at the home of Bill and Melodie Holt following the memorial service.
