Ann Alsup

–

Roscoe, Illinois

Ann K Alsup went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 3rd, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born in Rockford, IL and spent most of her life there as well. Ann graduated from West High School in 1960 and was married in August 1961. She was a homemaker and babysitter, and in later years was both a baker and a cashier at Grays Foods. During her babysitting days one summer, she watched a total of 14 children. It took 6 boxes of macaroni and cheese and 2 loaves of bread with butter to feed them all for lunch!

Ann was a faithful member at Heritage Baptist Church, and loved to craft, cook, and sew. She made many clothes for her children, nieces, and grandchildren. She really enjoyed getting together with family and friends for holidays and special occasions, and always had her camera at these events where she was sure to get pictures of everyone whether they wanted their photo taken or not!

Ann was pre-deceased by her loving parents, Henry and Vivian Hansen, and daughter-in-law Lecia Alsup. She is survived by her husband David, brother Bob (Sandy) Hansen, and Children: Jeff, Kim (Tim), Greg (Amy), and David (Penny), as well as 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Even though she will be missed greatly by her family and friends, she is at home with her Lord and at peace. Her life evidenced a love for God, and she has left a godly heritage as an example of her faithfulness to Him.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,

Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 in Heritage Baptist Church, 12848 Willowbrook Road Roscoe, IL with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery. A visitation, following COVID 19 guidelines of social distancing and wearing of masks, will be held at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Ceremony, Thursday.
