Arlene Roberts

Arlene C. Roberts 88, of Roscoe, IL died on Saturday March 15, 2025 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a brief illness. Arlene was born on October 6, 1936 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur B. and Lida D. (Walker) Schultz. Arlene was married to Carol Gene Roberts. She worked at Warner Lambert as a Payroll Specialist.

Arlene was a lifelong member of Hunter United Methodist Church where she was active in the Birthday Breakfast Club and was also a long-time treasurer for the church. Arlene was very active in all the church activities including suppers and rummage sales. Arlene sat on the Board of Directors of the Livingston Cemetery and served as the Secretary.

Arlene had many pet cats and dogs over the years, but her main loves were her horses. Arlene was a member of Roscoe Riders & Rigs Saddle Club, Valley Trail Riders, Rock River Trail Ride Association, Green River Saddle Club, Ogle County Saddle Club, American Business Woman's Association. Arlene was also on the Manchester township planning commission. Arlene was always busy with her activities but always found time to enjoy having breakfast with her friends.

Survivors include: brother Donald Schultz; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss her dearly. She is predeceased by her parents and husband.

A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Hunter United Methodist Church, 3315 Hunter Rd, Caledonia, IL With Reverend Tom Hay officiating. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until time of service.
