Betty B Aspland

Betty Aspland, 90, of Rockton, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 18 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born October 6, 1925 in Ventspils, Latvia. Betty was united in marriage to her best friend John Glen Aspland on August 19, 1949. Together Betty and John raised seven children. She worked at The Wagon Wheel Resort for many years and in the cafeteria at Hononegah High School from 2000 to 2005. The family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers of Hospice of America because they went above and beyond their duty to care for our beloved mother.

Survivors include, husband John; children, Wairis Krauze, Frank (Brenda) Aspland, Debra Busse, Jim (Sandy) Aspland, Susan Aspland, Penny (Ken) Lee, Eric (Emily) Aspland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; son-in-law Jon Busse; daughter-in-law Olga Krauze.

Memorial Ceremonies will held at a later date. McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, Illinois assisted the family

Memorials may be given in her name to Hospice of America.
