Brock "Cowboy Brock" Richard Scarpetta, 16, of Rockton, IL passed on October 10, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Batten Disease. \nBrock was known for his huge smile and contagious laugh.\nBrock was full of life and loved irritating his sisters from an early age. To occupy his time with something other than pulling pranks, we introduced horses and anything with a motor. Brock got to experience riding bare broncs for the Little Britches Rodeo of Wisconsin. Him and his sisters had a good run in the rodeos, but because of a diagnosis, we shifted gears into letting them and their cousins wreck four-wheelers, mini bikes and golf carts (under close supervision, of course) at the farm. Brock attended Shirland Elementary School for 2 years. He then went into the Winnebago Co-op Program in 2015. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Miss Linda and Miss George for all their tender loving care given to Brock during his time at school.\n\nBrock is dearly loved by his family and a community known as ♥Team Brock♥. Team Brock helped this family and Brock to ease the pain through the years. We can never show enough gratitude for the support given to this young man, and for that we love you and thank you.\n\nBrock is survived by his parents, Brad and Christina Scarpetta; sisters, Karly and Cloe Scarpetta; grandparents, Deby and Gary Graupner, John Jobson and Sherry O'Brien; great grandmother Phyllis Knorr; great grandmother Sadie McDonald; great grandfather Eldon Wheaton; Brock loves nephew Easton Brock Jansen; beautiful and oh-so-naughty nieces, Steeley Grace Jansen and Remington Jansen; Aunt Jodi (Jeremy) Scarpetta; cousins, Jaxon and Jaidyn Genore; Uncle Jason and Aunt Kelsey Jobson; cousins Colton and Delaney Jobson; and numerous more family members. \n\nBrock is preceded in death by his great grandparents Richard Knorr, Bob and Claudette Jobson; grandparents Tino and Bonnie Scarpetta; great grandmother, Ann Wheaton; great uncle Robin Wheaton and great grandpa Maurice McDonald.\n\nA Funeral Ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023 in McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL with Pastor Clint Burow of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. \n\nThe family invites friends and family to join them at the Rockton American Legion, 221 W.
