Carroll L. “Jack” Dillet, 84, South Beloit, Illinois died at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in Beloit Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born August 10, 1927 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Ralph and Letha (Reber) Dillet. He lived his entire life around the Rockton area. Married the former Ruth Burton in Rockton, Illinois on February 5, 1949. He was the owner of Rockton Grain and Supply, Inc. for 43 years. He also farmed many years around Rockton. Veteran of WWII serving in the Army from 1946-1947. Member of Old Stone Church. He enjoyed going to the cabin and traveling to Florida. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling and dancing. Graduated from Hononegah High School, Class of 1945. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include his wife, Ruth Dillet; son, Brad (Susan) Dillet; grandson, Chad Dillet, all of Rockton, Illinois and several aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. \r\r\n\r\r\n Memorial ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Old Stone Church, 101 East Union, Rockton, Illinois with Pastor Dan Herman officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, Illinois from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28. \r\r\n\r\r\n A memorial will be established.
