Cassandra L. Swartz, 64, Rockton, Illinois died at 4:41 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 in Rockford Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with a diabetic condition. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born May 26, 1945, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Marie (Todd) Osborne. Married to Bruce K. Swartz in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 3, 1978. She was employed as a jewelry designer and sales person by Jewelry Concepts. Member of First Baptist Church in Delavan, Wisconsin, Rock River Home Owners Association, where she served on the board and Illinois Upper Rock River Ecosystem partnership. Cassandra was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister who had a beautiful spirit and was loved by all she met. Graduated from Delavan-Darien High School Class of '63. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include husband Bruce, Rockton, Illinois; son Todd Swartz, Rockford, Illinois; daughter Janna (Dennis) Delsas, Silt, Colorado; grandson Jacob; mother Marie Osborne,Delavan, Wisconsin; sisters Jackie (Jack) Cook, White Bluff, Tenessee and Paula (Greg) Essig, Dousman, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews and special friend and caretaker Michelle Truman. \r\r\n\r\r\n Memorial ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2010 in First Baptist Church 212 S. Main Street, Delavan, Wisconsin and 11:00 a.m., Tuesday May 11, 2010 in McCorkle Funeral Home 767 N Blackhawk Blvd Rockton, Illinois with Pastor Mike Ida officiating. Cremation Rites to be accorded. \r\r\n\r\r\n In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First Baptist Church Delavan, Wisconsin.
