Cole Michael Hagstrom, 21, South Beloit, IL, went to be with God at Mercy Hospital on August 4th at 10:45 pm. \r\r\n\r\r\n Cole was born on September 23, 1992 in La Habra, California, the son of Michael and Maricel Hagstrom. Cole graduated from South Beloit High School, Class of 2011. He worked as a process technician at Dupont Industrial Biosciences. Cole was an amazing athlete. He loved kickboxing and was an amazing running back in football. He served in the 11-B Infantry in the Illinois National Guard. He followed his passion of helping people by volunteering at the South Beloit Fire Department and becoming an EMT while still going to school at Rock Valley College following his dream in Criminal Justice. Cole was always thinking of others, which is why he chose to be an Organ Donor. Even though Coles’ passing is devastating, he helped save five lives by donating his organs. \r\r\n\r\r\n Cole was an amazing father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and fiancé. He leaves behind his three beautiful children, son Zane Hagstrom,4, and two daughters, Alivia Hagstrom,1, and Natalia Cassaro,5; father, Michael Hagstrom; mother, Maricel Hagstrom; grandmother, Linda Hagstrom; sister, Marisa Redzepi (Alben); two brothers, Dillon Hagstrom and Nathan Carpenter, his loving fiancé, Shelby Champlin, and all his amazing loving family and friends. Cole is going to be greatly missed by all. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd, South Beloit, Illinois with Fr. Steven Sabo officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, Illinois. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, Illinois from 4:00 – 8:00 Monday, August 11.
