Corene Cliffe

Corene M. Cliffe, 61, of South Beloit, IL died on December 23, 2024 in Alden Park Strathmoor Nursing home after a lengthy illness. Cori was born on June 22, 1963 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Judith (Greenfield) McCartney.

She graduated from Hononegah High School Class of 1982. Cori married Francis Cliffe on September 17, 1988 in South Beloit, IL. Cori worked as a waitress in various restaurants in Southern Wisconsin and retired from McDonald's in Roscoe, IL in 2021. Cori enjoyed visiting with her regular customers and working with all the staff. Cori is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in South Beloit, IL.

Survivors include: husband Fran; son Josh (Josie) Cliffe; daughters Stacie (Dave) Knutsen and Tiffany (Kyle) Eldridge; grandchildren Keegan, Kaycee, Lianne, Payten, James, Evelynn. Predeceased by her parents.

A Memorial Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025 in McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL with Pastor JoAnna Patterson officiating. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. Burial to be in Rockton Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of Ceremony.
