Curtis B. MacDougall, 81, Brodhead, Wisconsin, died at 8:23 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Brodhead-Wood’s Crossing from natural causes after a short illness.\r\r\n\r\r\n Born July 5, 1934 in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis and Lucille (Hartman) MacDougall. Lived 80 years in Durand before moving to Brodhead. Married the former Charlotte Olson in Durand, Illinois on October 16, 1955. Curtis was an agricultural and dairy farmer and was employed by Durand Schools as a bus driver for 53 years. He was a member of the Durand United Methodist Church and the church choir. He was also a member of the FFA and was the recipient of the State Farmer Award. Curtis was a blood bank donor of 15+ gallons. He was a long-time avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed family gatherings. Curtis graduated from Durand High School, Class of 1952. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include wife, Char (Charlotte) MacDougall, Brodhead, Wisconsin; sons, Randy (Gail) MacDougall and Bruce (Jolene) MacDougall, both of Durand, Illinois and Steve (Diane) MacDougall, Roscoe, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Mavis Stoll, Rockford, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews and close friend Arlene (nee Taylor) Fillmore He was preceded in death by his parents.\r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2015 in Durand United Methodist Church, 102 East Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Pastor Brenda Morris, pastor of Stockton Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Freeport, Illinois. Visitation will be held in the church from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral Monday. McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois assisted the family.\r\r\n\r\r\n In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for a memorial to be decided at a later date.
