Cynthia J. “Cindy” Collalti, 62, of Pecatonica, IL died at 11:16 a.m., Sunday, July 7, 2019 in Serenity House in Oregon, IL after a courageous battle. \r\n\r\nShe was born February 22, 1957 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Joyce (Sadewater) Whittington. Cindy graduated from Pecatonica High School, Class of 1975. She married Chris A. Collalti in 1976. Cindy had worked at St. Vincent’s in Freeport, IL, Wick’s and Sticks and Eddie Bauer. She attended Pecatonica United Methodist Church. Cindy enjoyed gardening, travel and spending time with family and friends. Cindy and Chris had no children of their own, but they were proud to be Godparents to six children, Nicole Tipton, Nate Bush, Garen Kloster, Justin Kloster and Drew Kloster. Jeremy (Johnna) Bush was an honorary son to Chris and Cynthia. Cindy was a loving and devoted aunt spending much of her spare time attending their functions especially baseball games. \r\n\r\nCindy Collalti is survived by her parents Richard and Joyce Whittington, sisters Jan (Tom) Sluiter, and Eileen Whittington, her in-laws Ron and Nancy Collalti, sister in-laws Susan Haughton (Jay) and Laura Wallace; nieces Jillian and Jacalyn; nephews Garen Kloster (Jodi Hinton) and Justin Kloster, nine great nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and uncles.\r\n\r\nWe wish to thank friends and family for all their care, help and support through this journey.\r\n\r\nCindy was preceded in death by her husband Chris.\r\n\r\nA memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Pecatonica United Methodist Church, 528 Washington Street, Pecatonica, IL with Pastor Mark Gilmore officiating. \r\nA visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of ceremony Saturday. Final resting place will be in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery.
