David Ricky Henthorn, 66, of Beloit, WI died at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2019 at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Janesville, WI. \r\n\r\nBorn April 13, 1953 in Burlington, IA, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Ralph and Emma S. (Lasswell) Henthorn. He graduated from Rockton Grade School and Hononegah High School, Class of 71 and attended Rock Valley College. David married the former Mary Ellen Hardy in Rockton, IL on September 22, 1973. He was employed as an insurance agent at H. Dan Wright Insurance in Wisconsin and served as Vice President for four years, retiring in 2001. David also was a guitar instructor for most of his life, working with Voigt Music Center until retiring in October of 2018. He was a lifelong member of Old Stone Church where he served on a variety of committees and in his younger years was a member of the Boy Scouts and the high school band. \r\n\r\nSurvivors include wife Mary of Beloit, Wi; daughter Jessica Ann (Scott) Wallace of Janesville, WI; two grandchildren Maddie and Will; sister Paula S. (Robert) Moore of Wyndmoor, PA; brother Kevin (Laurie) Henthorn of Mesa, AZ and several nieces and nephew. \r\n\r\nHe is preceded in death by his parents. \r\n\r\nMemorial Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Old Stone Church, 101 E Union St, Rockton, IL with pastor Dan Herman officiating.
