Dennis James, a kind, creative and gentle soul, left this earthly life on Friday, May 8, 2009. \r\r\n\r\r\n Dennis was born in Beloit, WI on February 21, 1963, the youngest child of Russ and Barb James. He lived most of his life in Roscoe, Illinois, graduate of Hononegah High School and Rock Valley College. He will be forever remembered for the many talents God blessed him with. His passion for writing music was his true inspiration and purpose. He wrote a song a day and would say he was merely the outlet for writing God's songs. His beautiful music will be enjoyed by his family and friends for eternity. Dennis was a talented artist as well, painting colorful abstracts that hung in his recording studio. In addition to his music, Dennis was an intelligent and hardworking man. He was an Eagle Scout and successful entrepreneur. Former co-owner of World Cup Packaging. Current co-owner of Cup Pac Contract Packagers. Dennis was a loving son to Russ & Barb James of Roscoe, Illinois. A loyal and caring husband to Peggy (Doyle) James. A kind and thoughtful brother to Jeff (Valerie) James of Lake Placid, Florida and Jodi James of Roscoe, Illinois. A creative and humorous uncle to Jeffrey James, Birmingham, Alabama, Krystle James, Fort Myers, Florida, Garrett Matheson and Corbin Matheson, Roscoe, Illinois. He will be remembered by his many friends as a generous and caring man. \r\r\n\r\r\n Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dennis' life on Thursday, May 14, 2009. Visitation at 5:30pm, service at 7pm at Old Stone Church, Rockton, Illinois with Pastor Dan Herman officiating. Private family burial. Final resting place Rockton Township Cemetery, Rockton, Illinois.
