Diana R. Earls, affectionately known as "Madea" to those who loved her, was a spirited, thoughtful, and loving woman, born in Panama City, Florida on April 18, 1958. Her life was a testament to her Christian faith, encapsulated by the verse, "Let all that you do be done in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14). This verse perfectly embodied Diana, whose life was a beautiful melody of love and kindness. She was a dedicated daughter, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother. Her thoughtful nature shone brightest in her care for her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and her beloved animals.
Diana's life was a vibrant tapestry, woven with threads of adventure, resilience, and love. As an Airforce baby, she lived at Airforce Base Tyndall and O'Hara Airforce Base before moving to South Beloit, Illinois in 1966 where she later graduated from the Rockton School District in 1976. She had an illustrious career in manufacturing as an Inspector, a role which she held with great pride until her retirement. Diana was an active community member, participating in Brownies, Girl Scouts, and 4H in her younger years. Her hobbies painted a vivid picture of her charismatic personality. She was passionate about gardening, especially her flowers, scrapbooking, and music. Diana also had a unique love for breeding Great Danes, a fascination that further showcased her loving and nurturing spirit.
Diana leaves behind an endearing legacy that will forever be cherished by her survivors: her father, Donald Kearns, her daughters Sierra (David) Meyer and Chelsey Earls, her sister Debra Kearns, and her beloved grandchildren Grace Carroll, Christopher Carroll, Harmony Earls, Kailyn Meyer, Dominic Meyer, Spencer Meyer, Gideon Meyer, and Evangeline Meyer.
