Donald K. Blecker Sr., 77, of Rockton, IL passed away at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 in his home. \r\n\r\nBorn July 30, 1940 in Rockford, IL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Lorraine (Tripp) Blecker. He attended Harlem School District. Donald married Caroline M. Carlson in Rockford, IL on June 30, 1962. He was a proud Iron worker for 35 years with Local #498. He enjoyed exercising at North Pointe and creating special memories with his family and friends.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include wife Caroline; son Donald K. (Melissa) Blecker Jr.; daughter Jolene M. (Jeff) Davis; four grandchildren Ashley, Allison, Ian (Heather) and Brennan; two great grandchildren Briella and Piper and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in his death by his parents, twin brother Ronald and his brother Glen. \r\n\r\nMemorial Ceremonies will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 in McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL with Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church in Rockton, IL officiating. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 until time of service Saturday. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for a reading program at Roscoe and Rockton grade schools.
