Born on December 18, 1936, in Concordia, Kansas, he was a lifelong resident of Northern Illinois. Donald was a proud veteran of the US Air Force where he worked his way through the ranks to Staff Sergeant. Throughout his life, Donald was known for his generous spirit, his dedicated work ethic, and his unwavering loyalty to his loved ones. His smart mind and capable hands, which served him well in his career as a self-employed mechanic, were equally notable.

His collection of clocks was one of his treasured possessions, reflecting his appreciation for fine craftsmanship. In the intimate gatherings of family music nights, Donald's guitar strumming filled the room with warmth and love. His bond with animals was profound, encompassing both his pets and the animals he cared for. He was a pillar in his community, achieving many goals and making a name for himself in business.
Donald's life was enriched by the love of his family.
