After suffering over 40 years with Multiple Sclerosis, Donald P. Waller, Durand, Illinois, 71 passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Medina Manor Nursing Center in Durand, Illinois. His wife, Sally was at his side. \r\r\n\r\r\n He was born December 20, 1937, the son of Wayne and Gladys Waller. Don married Sally Stettler on June 30, 1962. He served in the U.S. Army. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include sons Thomas (Kim), Joseph (Kelly) and James (Denise) Waller; one brother, Kenneth (Beverly) Waller and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kelly Waller. \r\r\n\r\r\n Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Faith Community Church, 212 West McKimmy Street, Davis, Illinois 61019. Visitation will be held at the church from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 20 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday. Full military rites will be accorded. \r\r\n\r\r\n Per Don’s request, his tissues were donated to the University of Illinois at Chicago Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Tissue Repository. \r\r\n\r\r\n Cremation by McCorkle Funeral Home 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois.
