Donna Mae Martin, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in South Beloit, IL.\n\nShe was born on July 10, 1933 in Lancaster, WI the daughter of Burton and Lucretia Irish. She attended school in Gays Mills, WI. She married Ervin Martin on September 8,1949 in Dubuque, IA. Together they owned Donnas Gas and Grocery in Orfordville, WI for many years.\n\nDonna loved to travel. She especially enjoyed her trips to Hawaii and on a Caribbean Cruise. She was a member of Tops Club and the Red Hats Club. She loved to work on crafts. She enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and listening to Elvis and Vince Gill.\n\nThe family would like to thank Beloit Regional Hospice and the staff at Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for their loving care.\n\nSurvivors include her children: Douglas Martin, Beloit, WI, Phillip (Jeanne) Martin, Rockton, IL, Rusty Martin, Beloit, WI, & Glorietta(Zach) West, South Beloit, IL; Grandchildren; Crystal (Ramone) Brown, Beloit, WI, Jeremy (Rana) Wood, South Beloit, IL, Lucretia (Sean) Daugherty, South Beloit, IL, Patricia (Jeremy) Woody, Machesney Park, IL, Jason Converse (Krista Schaaf), Orfordville, WI, Lisa (Matt Stackhouse) Geddes, Bob Chamberlin, Tara (Mike) Laschiava, all of Janesville, WI, Andrea Osterberg, Pecatonica, IL, and Nick (Jayme) West, Rockton, IL; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.\n\nDonna was predeceased by her parents; Husband, Ervin; Daughter, Peggy, Martin Nelson; Daughter-In Law, Mary Martin; Two brothers and five sisters.\n\nA Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL 61072 with burial in Lutheran Cemetery in Orfordville, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
