Donna Stoltz, 60, Durand, Illinois passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida where she was visiting her daughter and her family.\r\r\n\r\r\n Donna was born March 5, 1955 in Rockford, Illinois to Glenn and Alice (Lynch) Pinney. She attended West High School. She married Marty Stoltz on May 14, 1976 and together they had two children. Donna worked as a CNA for Visiting Nurses for 13 years. She was a great caregiver. She loved taking care of everyone. She enjoyed camping, swimming, country music, knitting, trips to Florida, baking and spending time with her family around a campfire. She was a fighter, she never gave up. She fought colon cancer for four years and never let it keep her down. If she wanted to do something, she wasn’t happy until she did it. She was a great mother, grandma, great grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.\r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include daughter, Christina (Eric) Smith, Jacksonville, Florida; son, Jason (Christy) Stoltz, Rockford, Illinois, four grandchildren, Alisha, Erica, Elijah and Payton; one great grandchild, Layla GiaDonna; mother, Alice Pinney; two sisters, Janet (Dan) and Linda; two brothers, Chuck (Judy) and Pat; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; good friend and father of her children, Marty Stoltz and life-long friend, Debbie Nelson. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Pinney.\r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2015 in McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Deacon Dick Mulcahey officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, Illinois.\r\r\n\r\r\n In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
