Duane Robert Millheam (Bubba), 62, South Beloit, Illinois, died at 6:46 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Monroe Manor Nursing and Rehab in Monroe, Wisconsin. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born September 6, 1948 to Theodore and Clara (Conrad) Millheam. He graduated from South Beloit High School, Class of 1966. Duane served his country through service in the US Army in Vietnam. He was a past commander of the Walter Graham American Legion Post #332 in Rockton, Illinois. Duane had worked for the Milwaukee Railroad and then for Makerite Mfg. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking before his illness. Duane had many friends and was loved very much. He will be forever missed. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Madison VA and the Madison VA Hospice team. Also thanks to the staff at Monroe Manor, Monroe Clinic and Monroe Hospice for the care and compassion they gave Duane. \r\r\n\r\r\n He is survived by his sister, Arlene Rounds, South Beloit, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2011 in McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, Illinois, with Pastor Amy Nyman officiating. Burial will be Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Thursday.
