Evelyn "Kay" Mcculley, 74 of Freeport, died Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Liberty Village of Freeport. She was born November 9, 1948, in Cairo, IL. the daughter of David Lawrence Sitton and Dorothy May (Pemberton) Sitton. She graduated from Winnebago High School 1967.\nIn her last position she worked in customer service for Follett Corp., an educational book company in McHenry IL. Kay enjoyed reading, her pets, and time with family and friends.\n\nKay is survived by sons Michael Langley, Kevin (Rhonda) Langley, and Brian (Destiny) Langley;\ngrandchildren Rebecka, Bethany, Serenity, Emma, Kayla, Shelby, Karissa, Payton, Abby, Morgan,\nRiley, and Eli; sisters Norma (Roy) Kloster and Sherry Tripp; brother Terry (Sarah) Sitton; sister-in-law,\nMary Lou (Ken Marcum) Sitton; several nephews and one niece.\n\nKay is predeceased by her parents, brother, Lester Sitton and nephew Joseph Sitton.\n\nA very special thank-you and appreciation is given to all the staff in Garden Court/ Memory Lane of Liberty Village for their care of our, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, also thank-you to Shay of FHN Hospice for helping our loved one. \n\nA graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Winnebago Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
