Fern J. Mueller, 83, Pecatonica, Illinois, died at 9:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Freeport Hospital.\r\r\n\r\r\n Born March 31, 1932 in Stickney, South Dakota, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar and Josephine (Claussen) Durfey. Graduated from Dakota High School, Class of 1950. Married Walter A. Mueller in Dakota, Illinois on February 2, 1951. She and Walter farmed in Winnebago County. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She spent many hours cooking and entertaining those she loved. She loved to serve her Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church, Pecatonica, Illinois for over 40 years.\r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include sons, Thomas (Kate) Mueller, New Berlin, Wisconsin, Steve (Barbara) Mueller, Cranston, Rhode Island, Randy (Donna) Mueller, Watertown, Wisconsin; daughters, Marcia (David) Myers, Pecatonica, Illinois, Karen (Craig) Farlow, Huntsville, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Doris Leck, Rapid City, South Dakota; brother-in-law, Carl (Linda) Mueller, Pecatonica, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and six siblings.\r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 in First Baptist Church, 7th and Washington, Pecatonica, Illinois with Pastor David Myers officiating. Burial will be in North Burritt Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 1.
