Genevieve I. Reich, 86, Rockton, IL died at 2:20 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 in Highview in the Woodlands surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n She was born August 10, 1928 in Fort Ashby, West Virginia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Pearl Lease. Married Robert R. Reich in Rockton United Methodist Church on January 21, 1969. Genevieve was a bookkeeper at the family owned business Reich Chiropractic Clinic and a homemaker. She was a member of Rockton United Methodist Church, White Star, Red Hat Club and UMC Women’s Club. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Highview in the Woodlands for their loving care and to niece Peggy Shockey.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Beloved mother and grandmother to; daughter, Connie Schaefermeyer, South Beloit, IL; son, Dr. H. Dale (Jane) Poland, Rothschild, WI; daughters, Robin (John) Hecker, Canon City, CO and Pamela Linam, Littleton, CO; sons, Robert (Terri) Reich,PhD, Tyngsboro, MA and Dr. Bradley (Tina) Reich, South Beloit, IL; daughter, Tausha (James) Markell, South Beloit, IL; 21 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Robert Reich, parents, grandson Callan Hecker, one sister and four brothers.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016 in McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL with Pastor Tom Kingery of Wilmington United Methodist Church officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery.
