Georgia D. Studebaker, 93, of Seward, IL, died at 8:50 p.m., Monday, October 31, 2016 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.\r\n\r\nBorn February 22, 1923 in Byron, IL, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ora and Minnie Myers. Graduated from Leaf River High School, Class of 1941. She married Arthur Lee Studebaker in Seward, IL in 1948. She was employed in the food services department at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She attended Seward Congregational Church. She enjoyed gardening and singing, and her specialty was growing African Violets.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include daughters Barbara (Ken) Arnold and Mary Studebaker; son Arthur Allen (Mariana) Studebaker; grandchildren Peter Philip (Melissa) Studebaker and Christopher Lee (Brande) Studebaker; great grandchildren Olivia, Adelaide and Felix Studebaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Ralph and Clarence Myers and sisters Betty Wehmeyer, Mildred Glasson, and Helen Kaeding Fry.\r\n\r\nGraveside ceremonies will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016 at Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL with Pastor David Bordy of Seward Congregational Church officiating. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home- Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W Fifth St Pecatonica, IL from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, prior to graveside ceremonies.
