Harlan G. Lameyer, 84, of Pecatonica, IL left earth and entered into his eternal home in heaven at 6:40 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.\r\n\r\nBorn to Harm and Grace (Janssen) Lameyer in Rockford, IL on January 27, 1935, Chub (Harlan Grant Lameyer) was the youngest of five children. Chub was a life-long resident of Pecatonica, where he graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1954. After a two year tour of duty in the Army, where he defended our country during the Korean Conflict, he returned to Pecatonica where he met and married Betty J. Bouton. Chub worked in manufacturing where he was a machinist and was known to be able to fix anything. Chub was well known in the community and will be deeply missed.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; their three children, daughter Teri (Kevin) Alex, son Brian Lameyer and youngest daughter, Jill Lameyer; two grandsons; Michael Alan Hodgdon and Jacob Grant (fiancé Melanie Harris) Hodgdon and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Chub was preceded in death by his parents, Harm and Grace; as well as his siblings, Lois, Ruby, John and Pete.\r\n\r\nGraveside ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Pecatonica Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL followed by a Celebration of Life at the Eugene J. Barloga, Post #197 American Legion, 403 Main Street, Pecatonica, IL.
