Harold Kloster

Harold Kloster, 88, of Pecatonica, IL died peacefully at 2:49 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2023 after a brief illness.

Harold was born at home on July 16, 1934 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris and Pearl Alice (Wolf) Kloster. He attended Dakota Schools. Harold married Janice J. Markham on October 23, 1954. Harold was employed by Barber Colman from 1960 to 2000. Member of Blackhawk Field Archers, enjoyed deer and turkey hunting. Harold loved camping. He could be found watching a baseball game at the park most nights during the summer especially if one of the grandkids were playing. He enjoyed watching them play football and would arrive early to get his favorite parking spot at the end of the field. Survivors include: son Marvin Kloster; daughters Donna (Ron) Ackerman, Andrea (Doug) Cox; son Gordon (Michele) Kloster; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Jerry (Judy) Kloster; Sisters Neva (Ed) Barker and Nancy (Ken) Brungraber; brother-in-law Delbert Fiene; sister-in-law Janet Kloster; brother-in-law Lonnie Markham; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, wife, infant daughter Lorna Kloster; son Kelvin Kloster; brothers Vernon, Richard and Kenneth; sister Norma Fiene; sister-in-law Vi Markham.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in McCorkle Funeral Home - Pecatonica Chapel, 203 West 5th St. Pecatonica, IL with Pastor David Myers of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Pecatonica Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 p.m. to time of ceremony.
