James FJ Clint, age 87 of Janesville, WI and Pharr, TX died Feb 16, 2017 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Edinburg, TX after a short illness.\r\n\r\nHe was born Nov 4, 1929 in Rockford, IL and grew up in the Rockford and Durand, IL area.\r\nHis early adult years were spent working in construction in Northern Illinois. In the 1960s he co-owned and operated the J&R Truck Stop in Polo, IL. He also worked in agri-business until the early 1970s when he moved to Tiffany, WI and bought the family farm. He farmed until his retirement.\r\n\r\nJim enjoyed golf, Wednesday morning coffee, and embraced the “Winter Texan” lifestyle for over 30 years, spending the last 23 years residing at Pharr South Resort. He and Nona danced, played shuffleboard and cards and enjoyed retirement. \r\n\r\nHe was a Perpetual member of the Morning Star Mason Lodge and The Petunia City Squares.\r\n\r\nJim could repair just about anything from hair dryers to farm tractors. He remodeled or rebuilt all of his homes, often with a plan just scratched on a scrap of paper.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Nona, three brothers Fred ( Sandy), Jerry (Doris) and Johnny (Carol) Clint as well as his children Judy (Gary) Doran, Kathy (Rick) Knudtson, Marcy (Eric) Polzin, Dean Nelli, and Stacy (Scott) Olson; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruth (Pearson), and his brother Ronnie and sister-in-law, Joyce.\r\n\r\nPer Jim’s wishes, Cremation Rites were Accorded. A Remembrance Ceremony for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
