Jean M. Busch, 87, died at 3:49 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.\r\n \r\nBorn November 29, 1931 in Rochester, MN, daughter of John Hoffman and Erna Hampel. Jean married Ray Busch on May 21, 1952 in Nashua, IA, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Babbitt, MN before Ray died in 2003. Ray and Jean were well known for their enjoyment of country music and dancing. She loved her job at the train museum in Tower, MN as well as enjoying many activities with her friends in the ‘Red Hat Ladies.’ Jean also was a member of Good Shephard Lutheran Church in Babbitt, MN. Before moving to Fair Oaks in South Beloit, IL, Jean had also spent some time at Heritage woods in Belvidere, IL. \r\n\r\nSurvivors include daughter Glenna (Doug) Schroeder; daughter Donna (Fiancé Johnny Pugh) Busch; daughter Monica (Jim) Gruher; grandchildren Vanessa (Andrew) Scudder, Benjamin Gruher and Jade Gruher; great grandchildren Autumn and Ellie and several nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and sister. \r\n\r\nPrivate ceremonies will be held at a later date. Final resting place will be at Argo Cemetery in Babbitt, MN. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. McCorkle Funeral Home- Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL assisted the family.
