Jennifer Lynn Fair, known affectionately to many as Squeaker, Peanut, Sweet Pea, Jen, or Jenny, was born on June 2, 1986, in Rockford, IL, USA. Her adventurous spirit and compassionate heart touched many lives during her time with us. Jennifer's creativity was a beacon, illuminating her path through life, and her loving nature endeared her to all. Her journey of life concluded on March 18, 2025, while residing in Roscoe, Illinois.
Jennifer was a woman of many talents. She was an accomplished machinist, working in aerospace manufacturing, and previously in quality control for asphalt production, where she took great pride in testing quality of asphalt for highways, interstate and airport runways. Her professional life was a testament to her adventurous and creative spirit, as was her personal life. She was a brown belt in Martial Arts, a creative writer who received two awards from the Women's Club in Rockford, and a devoted animal lover. Her family ,friends and pets were the cornerstones of her life, and she was exceptionally proud of her Irish heritage.
Jennifer's zest for life took her on many journeys, including a period living in Laramie, Wyoming during her college years. But it was her love for her family and friends that truly defined her. Jennifer was a loving daughter, a cherished step-daughter, a beloved sister, and a treasured grandchild. She is survived by her mother, Theresa (Rex) Marshall; her father, Randy (Nancy) Fair; step-siblings Cassie (Tyler) Hughes, Ben (Jenny) Marshall, Gus Marshall, Amanda (Tony) Sears, Ashley (Ryan) Geister, Miles Geister, Chad Salsbury, Joe Salsbury, Ryan Salsbury; nieces, Hannah, Hattie, Kaelyn, Olympia, Sophie; nephew, Cash, and grandparents Patricia Stevens, Marilyn Keifer, and Herb Fair. Special friends Becki, Amber and Jake.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her maternal step-grandfather, Ray Stevens; maternal grandfather, Dale Rosengren; and paternal step-grandmother, Linda Fair. Jennifer's loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit, her creativity, and the memories she leaves behind will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her.
We encourage all who knew and loved Jennifer to leave memories and upload photos to her memorial page. Let us remember her for the adventurous, compassionate, creative, and loving soul she was, and continue to celebrate her life in the way she would have wanted.
