Jerome W. “Jerry” Dvorak, Jr, 83, Lake Summerset, died at 9:50 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013 in Medina Manor Center surrounded by his family. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born May 25, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome W. and Josephine (Behal) Dvorak, Sr. Married Carol A. Doerr in Berwyn, Illinois on August 25, 1951, she died in March 1981. He then married Reneé Shambeau on March 7, 1987 in Wood Dale, Illinois. He was employed as a typesetter and in sales for various companies in the printing industry in the Chicago area. Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the US Army. Member of Durand United Methodist Church and was a life-long member of The Naturals-Athletic & Social Club. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include wife, Reneé Shambeau; daughters, Diana L. Thomas and Debra (Dave) Mastio; son, Jerry Earl Dvorak; eight grandchildren, Cindy, Carie, Jeff, Kyle, Brett, Curt, Mark and Anthony and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chuck Dvorak. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral ceremonies will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Durand United Methodist Church, 102 E Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Pastor Brian Channel officiating. . Visitation will be held at the church from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens West, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd,. Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013.
