Jerry Victor Brueggeman

Jerry Victor Brueggeman, 36, of Pecatonica, IL passed away at 12:12 pm, Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born January 16, 1978, the son of Gary and Ellen (Dahlin) Brueggeman. Jerry graduated from Stillman Valley High School, Class of 1996. He was a member of IBEW Local Union # 364 of Rockford, IL since 1997. Jerry was a fun loving guy. He had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile. He brought laughter, joy, fun and kindness into this world. Jerry was always there to lend a helping hand. When Jerry was home he never failed to take his Yamaha four wheeler for a ride. He loved the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and always rooted for the Ford NASCAR drivers, especially Dale Jarrett #88. To know Jerry was to love him. He will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends.

Survivors include parents, Gary and Ellen Brueggeman of Pecatonica, IL; brother, Paul (Stacy) Brueggeman of Valley Center, Kansas; sister, Dawn (Scotte) Lemke of Rockford, IL; nephew, Tyler Brueggeman of Valley Center, KS; niece and godchild, Mekenzie Lemke of Rockford, IL; nieces Alexis Brueggeman and Shaylie White all of Valley Center, KS; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Prayers to be recited at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Pecatonica, IL with Msgr. Robert Sweeney officiating. Cremation Rites to be accorded and final rest place to be North Burritt Cemetery. A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home – Countryman Chapel, 529 Washington St, Pecatonica, IL from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 10.
