John “Jack” R. Teasdale, 84, of Pecatonica, IL died at 4:18 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.\r\n\r\nBorn March 27, 1933 in Madison, WI, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril and Hildred (Rickard) Teasdale. Graduated from Darlington High School, Class of 1951 and then entered into the US Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. Married Mary Lou Courtright in Laurel, MS on March 27, 1952. Mary Lou died January 9, 1997 and he then married Connie Houren Deppe in Pecatonica, IL on May 29, 1999. He was employed as a lineman by REA in Darlington, WI for 30 years, then he and his wife bought Lincolnwood Resort in Birchwood, WI, retiring in 1997. He loved fishing, woodworking in his shop, gardening and his pets Greta, Lola and Tomas. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Great loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include his wife Connie Teasdale; daughter Weslyn (Gary) James; son Gregg (Jean) Teasdale; daughters Laurel (Dave) Dvorak and Gwenn (Larry) Atkinson; son Ross (Beth) Teasdale; step children Rick (Jennifer) Deppe, Carrie (Craig) Lund, Greg (Paula) Deppe, Sally Blassingham, Ted (Hilary) Deppe, Beth (Mark) Schroeder; 34 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step son Jim Deppe and sons-in-law John Blassingham and Mike McGowan.\r\n\r\nFuneral ceremonies will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Centenary United Methodist Church, 226 West Church Street, Shullsburg, WI with Pastor Stanton Bockwoldt, Centenary United Methodist Church and Pastor Eddie Santiago of Benton United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Shullsburg, WI. McCorkle Funeral Home – Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W. Fifth Street, Pecatonica, IL assisted the family.
