Josephine E. Bishop, 95, of Rockton, IL died at 6:01 am Thursday December 24, 2015 in Premier Care and Rehabilitation in Beloit, WI. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born March 31, 1920 in South Beloit, IL to Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Margaret (Shawaski) Wells. The family moved to Devil Lake, North Dakota. Mom had many pleasant memories growing up with her brothers and sisters in North Dakota. The family moved back to Shirland, IL. \r\r\n\r\r\n Josephine had many trials given to her during her life; the death of her husbands Clarence Bartell, Emil Krueger, Ed Huslzinski and Luther Bishop. Her children to her dying day had people tell them what a cheerful and pleasant person mom was. Josephine worked at Freeman Illinois Cabinet Company, later went to beauty school then opened Josephine’s Beauty Clinic in Rockton, IL. \r\r\n\r\r\n She is survived by daughters Marjorie (John Hoile) Bartell, Betty Ann (Gerry) Kneisel, Linda (Terry) Gessler, Lisa (Fred) Kopp; daughter in law Barb Bishop; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother James Wells; sister Peggy (Don) Huseman; several nieces and nephews. \r\r\n\r\r\n She is predeceased by parents, husbands, sons Mike and Delbert Bishop; grandson Arthur Elliott, Jr.; sisters Dorothy Deguitis, Betty Cook, Alice Bue, Arlene Wald; brothers Arnold and Bud Wells. \r\r\n\r\r\n A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday December 30, 2015 in McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd Rockton, IL with Chaplin Mark Maxted Officiating. \r\r\n\r\r\n Burial will be in Floral Lawn Memorial Garden in South Beloit, IL. \r\r\n\r\r\n A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am to time of funeral on Wednesday. \r\r\n\r\r\n Memorials may be given to Beloit Regional Hospice \r\r\n\r\r\n655 Third St., Suite 200\r\r\n\r\r\nBeloit, WI 53511.
