June Neuman

June P. Neuman, 96, of Rockford, IL, passed peacefully at 2:58 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2020 at the memory care facility she resided in.

She was born February 4, 1924 in Saux City, Minnesota the daughter of Mrs. Elsie Gregory. She graduated from Denfield and Centeral High School in Duluth, Minnesota. June has live many years in Lake Summerset, coming here from Franklin Park, IL. She married Leo Neuman, Jr. in Franklin Park, IL on November 17, 1956. She was a member of Durand United Methodist Church; former Lake Summerset Garden Club; Durand Women's Club; Durand Girl Talk God Talk; Room Mom & PTA President at North School; Woman's Ministry at Franklin Park United Methodist Church. June loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Survivors include daughter Debby Griffith (Rod) of Pennsylvania.; granddaughter Nichole (Bill) Leib & great grandson Wyatt Leib of Oklahoma & grandson Eric Griffith of Virginia.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband, & son Dennis Neuman, who passed on April 2, 2020.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Durand United Methodist Church, 102 Main Street, Durand, IL with Pastor Brenda Bryne officiating. Cremation Rites were Accorded. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Saturday.
