Beloit, Wisconsin

Larry Lee Perrin, aged 91, of Beloit, Wisconsin, born on November 22, 1934, in Platteville, WI, passed away on September 28, 2026. Known for his thoughtful and resilient spirit, Larry dedicated his life to caring for horses, a passion that stemmed from his childhood. His love of these majestic creatures guided him in his career as a harness horse caretaker at the racetrack, where he lived in a tackroom for most of his life. Larry’s generous nature was reflected in his lifelong commitment to his work, ensuring the wellbeing of the animals he so deeply admired.

Larry lived a rich and fulfilling life, having resided in several cities including Chicago and New York. Larry's loving spirit extended beyond his professional life to his cherished family. He held an unwavering devotion to his family, finding his greatest joy in their company. As the author, George Eliot, once said, "Family is the place where our life begins and love never ends." Larry's life was a testament to this sentiment.

Larry was the beloved son of the late Lloyd and Lois (Bell) Perrin. He was a cherished brother to his sisters Goldie Peterson, Jean Suing, and Judy Virgin, and a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his sister-in-law, Terri Perrin. Larry was preceded in death by his brothers Carson(Eileen), Dorman (Betsy), Jimmy, Billy, and Bobby Perrin, his sister Phyllis Wright, and his brothers-in-law Dick Peterson, Earl Virgin, and DuWayne Suing.

We invite those who knew Larry to share their memories and photos on his memorial page. His life was richly woven with stories of resilience, love, and generosity, and sharing these experiences will help to keep his spirit alive in our hearts. We remember Larry not just as the loving family man he was, but also for his enduring love for horses and his unwavering commitment to his work. As we honor his life, let us remember the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Larry's life was a testament to this success.
