Lee Kiser

–

Rockton, Illinois

Roland ‘Lee’ Kiser, 68, passed away suddenly in his home on September 29, 2026. He was born February 17, 1958, in Arlington, Virginia.

Lee was a simple, kind, and caring man who had his daily routines, but was always willing to lend a hand no matter what. Throughout his life, he served his community in many roles, including a welder, police officer, EMT/firefighter, serving his church on the security team, and owner/operator of Frybabies Concessions. But above all, his whole world revolved around his high school sweetheart, the love of his life of 46 years, Mary, whom he met at Hononegah High School. They did everything together—going everywhere together. Whether they were out grabbing supplies for the food trailer, home repairs, planning their next event, or traveling, Lee loved picking up an extra gadget, pocket knife, hat, watch, or silly t-shirt along the way.

He adored his family, loved spending time together, and always had a joke or a funny story ready to tell, making it a short story long. Nothing brought him more pride than bragging about his kids, grandkids, and of course, Frybabies.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his children, Kenny Kiser of South Beloit, IL, Amy (Phil) Fluegel of Roscoe, IL, and Stefanie (Michael) Adams of Charlotte, NC; his cherished grandchildren, Vincent, Kirra, Olivia, Owen, Violet, and Evelyn; his siblings, Ted Kiser, Esther (Bill) Hamm, and Kenny (Robbie) Kiser; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, IL from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026. A Graveside Ceremony will be held at the Rockton Township Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026.
