Linda Naus

–

Rockton, Illinois

We are deeply saddened to announce that Linda Naus, a woman of steadfast faith and unyielding love, passed away on June 15, 2026, in Rockton, Illinois. Born on July 10, 1947, in Joliet, Illinois, Linda was a beacon of compassion and empathy throughout her life. Her radiant spirit, heartfelt laughter, and loving nature will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Linda's journey began in Lemont, IL, where she grew up attending the Bethany Lutheran Church. Her faith, nurtured from a young age, was a constant source of strength and inspiration throughout her life. Linda served as an usher and greeter at the First Congregational Church of Lockport, and she was a cherished member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church at the time of her passing. As expressed in Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Linda's light indeed shone brightly, illuminating the lives of many through her selfless acts of kindness and enduring faith.

A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Linda found pure joy in caring for her family and her pet dogs. She had an adventurous spirit, often found at garage sales, craft shows, and the Covered Bridge Festival. Linda also had a feisty side, standing firm in support of her family and the values she held dear. Her thoughtfulness and love were the cornerstones of her life, and she was a source of comfort and inspiration to those around her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Michael Naus, to whom she was married on August 10, 1968. She leaves behind a beautiful family: her son Michael (Tammy) Jr., her daughter Kelly (Mike) McKillips, and her loving grandchildren Cheyanna (Zechariah) Smail, Natalie Naus, Jacob Wilhite, and Alexander Wilhite. She is also survived by her siblings Ed (Glenda) Anderson, Lorine (Leon) Chmielewski, Joy (Steve) Semetulskis, and sister-in-law Janet Anderson. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Eleanor Anderson, and her brothers, Richard and Thomas Anderson.
