Linda Sue Puddicombe, 66, Davis, Illinois, died at 8:10 a.m., Monday, February 14, 2011 in University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born August 25, 1944 in Braggadocio, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene and Florence (Clayton) Maxwell. Was a life-long resident of the Davis area. Married Robert E. Puddicombe in Rockford, Illinois on August 6, 1962. She was retired from the Thermos Company in Freeport, Illinois. She enjoyed camping, quilting, sewing and cooking. She loved having her grandchildren over for visits. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include husband, Robert Puddicombe, Davis, Illinois; son Robert (Lisa) Puddicombe, Pecatonica, Illinois; daughters Donna (Earl) Baker, Rock Grove, Illinois, Jo (Greg) Raymond, Juda, Wisconsin, Cathy (Charles) Garner, Rock City, Illinois and Tammie Shumaker, Loves Park, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters Pauline (Jerry) Schrimsher, Pangburn, Arkansas and Betty Weldon, Concord, Arkansas; brother Tom (Rose) Maxwell, Fairdealing, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Casey, three brothers and five sisters. \r\r\n\r\r\n Funeral ceremonies will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2011 at McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois with Reverend R. Lee Bennight, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Durand, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
