Louis Claire Braggo, 98, Beloit, Wisconsin died at 11:43 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 in St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Rockford. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born March 28, 1914 in LaSalle County, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton and Louise (Hack) Braggo. Lived 50 years in Beloit, Wisconsin. Married the former Frances Arnold in LaSalle, Illinois on June 5, 1935, almost 77 years. He retired from Barber Colman as a design engineer and had previously worked at Samsel in Spring Valley, Illinois in time control. He was a member of Beloit Field Archers, Beloit Moose Club #191, Beloit Horseshoe Club and Beloit Rifle Club. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include his wife, Frances Braggo, Beloit, Wisconsin; daughters, Barbara Czirr, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Rockford, Illinois and Georgia (Ken) Beebe, Rockton, Illinois; son Charles Braggo, Beloit, Wisconsin; daughter, Mary Claire Davenport, Beloit, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Ruthann Horihan, four brothers and three sisters. \r\r\n\r\r\n Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, Illinois from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Peru, Illinois. \r\r\n\r\r\n A memorial will be established at a later date. \r\r\n\r\r\n The family requests no flowers.
