Luana Josephine Richardson died at 9:11 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family. \r\n\r\nShe was born March 11, 1941 in Beloit, WI to Lawrence and Lil (Pete) Richardson, sister to Lawrence (Rena) Richardson, Lorretta (Harold) Ryer, Leonard (Debbie) Richardson. Graduated from Hononegah High School Class of 1959, graduated from Blackhawk Tech Class of 1973. \r\n\r\nMarried Duke Geng July 30, 1959, from that union I became a mother to Anita (Mike) Sullivan, Karla (Tim) Zinnecker, Kristina (Brian) Johnston and Lisa (Shawn) Hanson. \r\n\r\nLater became grandmother to Tyler Geng, Brittany (Owen) Schleis, Taylor Sullivan, Holly (Brent) Bhirdo, Keith Zinnecker, Chase Johnston, Dallas Thomas. Great grandmother to Lucas Bhirdo, Spencer Schleis, Wilson Schleis, Dean Schleis, Lilly Schleis, Katlin Schleis and Sassy Schleis. \r\n\r\nLife-long friend Dan Sagaitis. \r\n\r\nPredeceased by grandparents, parents, several aunts, uncles and cousins, dear friends and my favorite dog Amiga. \r\n\r\nMy life has been filled with many adventures, lots of traveling, being active in many organizations and church over the years. My life has been a wonderful journey, I am thankful for my walk in life and all the wonderful people and family that made my journey complete. \r\n\r\nThe family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Beloit Cancer Center, Beloit Regional Hospice, Bev Moore, Jerry Scott, Tara Schlegel, Mary Rogers and dentist Dr. Susan Anderson for all of the support and excellent care that was provided to our mother. \r\n\r\nFuneral Ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at McCorkle Funeral Home – Rockton Chapel, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL with the Chaplin Mark Maxted of Beloit Regional Hospice officiating. Cremation Rites to be Accorded. Final resting place will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
