Lynn Clauson, 82, Lake Summerset, Illinois died January 10, 2016 in Durand, Illinois.\r\r\n\r\r\n Born September 3, 1933 in Helmar, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon and Mamie Clauson. Lived 19 years in Lake Summerset, coming here from Yorkville, Illinois. Graduated from Newark High School. Lynn was a Korean War veteran who proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a Teamster for 30 years and worked as a long distance driver for Schneider Transport for 17 years. His driving career took him to all 48 states at one time or another. After retiring from the Teamsters, Lynn worked as a substitute school bus driver for Durand Public Schools for 15 years. Lynn and Vi traveled extensively. Their trips included Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Hawaii and Alaska. They became snowbirds and had been spending winters in the Phoenix area for over 19 years. Lynn and Vi were married in Plano, Illinois and had been married for 56 years.\r\r\n\r\r\n He was the loving husband of Vi Clauson, Lake Summerset, Illinois; loving father of three daughters, Cathie (Fred) Martinez, Roscoe, Illinois, Cheri (Jim) Lang, Sussex, Wisconsin and Connie Clauson, Brookline, Massachusetts and adoring grandfather to Alyssa, Elizabeth, James, Christopher, Matthew, Macy and Eva.\r\r\n\r\r\n Memorial services will be held in late spring 2016.\r\r\n\r\r\n McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 Main Street, Durand, Illinois assisted the family.
