Margaret A. Brocker, 83, Seward, IL, died at 4:54 a.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.\r\n\r\nBorn December 31, 1934 in Seward, IL, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Blanche (McCartin) Smith. Graduated from Winnebago High School, Class of 1952 and attended nurses training in Phoenix, AZ. She earned her CNA at Highland College and Certificate for Physical Therapy Assistant at Rock Valley College. Married Donald W. Brocker, Sr. in Phoenix, AZ on December 19, 1953. She was employed as a CNA by Pine Crest Nursing Home in Mt. Morris for five years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Red Hat Society in Seward.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include husband Donald W. Brocker, Sr., Seward, IL; son Donald W. (Diana) Brocker, Jr., San Antonio, TX; daughter Debra (Richard) Goetze, Griggsville, IL; son Richard A. (Julie) Brocker, Sr., Woodstock, GA; daughters Camilla (Bob) Durham, Genoa, IL and Rhonda Knoll, Seward, IL; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister Mildred (Clarence) Willoughby, Tabor City, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law James Knoll, one brother and three sisters.\r\n\r\nFuneral Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 in McCorkle Funeral Home-Countryman Chapel, 529 Washington Street, Pecatonica, IL with Reverend Jeremy Heilman, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Genoa, IL officiating. Burial will be in Winnebago Cemetery, Winnebago, IL. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 -6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2018.
