Margot Facklam

–

Pecatonica, Illinois

Margot (Peggy) Elizabeth (Johnson) Facklam was welcomed into heaven by her loving Lord and Savior on November 17, 2021.

She will be missed by her family and friends. Growing up she loved horses and farm life. She met her husband Robert at a square dance. She would often talk about walking to the movies with her brothers when they were only a dime. In her later years Mom loved spending time with her family and teaching at Rock River School and Pecatonica Elementary School. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, baking bread, crocheting, knitting, baking, and sewing. She loved playing the organ and piano for church. She also served with social ministry, choir, and altar guild. You would often find her washing dishes in the kitchen for church events.

She is lovingly survived by many friends and family including children and grandchildren Sarah (David), Annah and Emma Dulaney; Robert (Susan) Emily and Timothy Facklam; brother Michael (Ann Marie) Johnson; sisters in law Elizabeth (Duane) Johnson Lovett, Georgiann Johnson, Marilyn Gladitsch and Irene Facklam; many nephews, nieces and cousins including Elaine, Marlene and Patti; many very special church and teacher friends.

Margot was predeceased by her husband Robert Facklam, brothers Gilbert and Martin Johnson, brothers in law Warren Gladitsch and Charles Facklam and parents Lulu and Reuben Johnson.

We would like to thank the loving and caring people of Anam Care and special friend Elena for their care and kindness.
