Marian Myers

–

Pecatonica, Illinois

Marian (Swartz) Myers entered the presence of Jesus on March 26, 2021 at the age of 79. She
is now healed and whole after battling Parkinson's disease. Marian was born on July 28, 1941, to Elmer and Clara Swartz. Clara died in childbirth, so Marian was adopted and raised by Elmer’s cousin, Stanley and Mildred Swartz in Telford, Pennsylvania. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior on July 10, 1950 at a Christian Camp. She married Paul Myers on October 5,1957 at Lansdale, Pennsylvania. They settled in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Together, they raised one son, David Myers, born November 18, 1959.

Marian and Paul were founding members of Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and served there throughout their lives. Marian taught a 2nd grade Sunday School Class, sang faithfully in the choir and also sang in a Ladies trio at the church for many years.

Marian worked tirelessly to provide for her family, sending her son to Christian school and college. Marian loved to read and travel with friends. Her "breakfast club" was filled with ladies she shared her time and laughter with. Paul and Marian had dear friends who they traveled with on many vacation trips!

Marian and Paul were young grandparents, with their first grandson, Chad, born in 1983, when Marian was only 42, but they were faultlessly loving and generous to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren remember fondly trips to the shore, birthday visits, and shopping trips for Easter dresses! Marian's home was always an exciting destination, where fruit salad, apple cider, and Hershey's Kisses were always waiting for excited children. Her back scratches were much sought after by the grandkids! Marian and Paul moved to Pecatonica, Illinois in 2018 to be near their son, the pastor of First Baptist Church in Pecatonica.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Clara Swartz and Stanley and Mildred Swartz and by her brother, Elmer. Marian is survived by her husband Paul, son David and his wife Marcia, grandchildren Chad (Sarah), Amy (Wes Todd), Amanda, and Cory (Nicolette), and great- grandchildren Kailyn, Izabella, Cole, Marisa, Reagan, Chase, Alexis, Carson, and Lacey. She is also survived by her brothers David, Lloyd (Paulene), and Dennis (Judy) and her sister Ellen (Winfield).

Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church, 819 Washington St., Pecatonica, IL on Wednesday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m.
