Marlene Estelle Hale, born on May 11, 1948, in Rockford, Illinois, was a woman of strength, resilience, and indomitable spirit.

Known for her vibrant spirit and captivating charm, Marlene spent the majority of her life in the place of her birth, Rockford. However, during her younger years, she, along with her family, lived in the picturesque city of Colorado Springs, CO. She was the successful owner-operator in the dairy industry until her retirement in 2014, proving her acumen for business and her unwavering dedication. Her work was not just her livelihood, but also a testament to her indomitable spirit. Yet, it was her love for tending to her flowers and spending time with her family that truly brought joy to her heart. These simple pleasures of life were Marlene's treasured moments, reflecting her inherent love for nature and family.

Marlene is survived by her daughters, Leah Miller and Tracey (Brent) Reiter; her grandson, Garrett Miller; granddaughter, Audra Miller; grandsons Andy (Doria) Reiter and Harrison Reiter; her sisters, Diane (Bill) Thompson and Mary (Perry) Weatherford. Despite the tremendous loss, Marlene’s spirit lives on in her loved ones, and they find comfort in the countless memories they created together. As Helen Keller rightly said, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."
