Martin L. Dunaway, 69 of Durand, IL died at 10:10 p.m., Sunday, August 19, 2018 in his home after a lengthy illness.\r\n\r\nBorn April 11, 1949 in Rockford, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur E. and Estella M. (Harvey) Dunaway. Graduated from Winnebago High School, Class of 1967 and attended Rock Valley College. Married the former Elizabeth Ann Falk in Pecatonica, IL in 1977 and she died on March 27, 2003. He then married Elizabeth Binger in Arizona. Then married Gerrie E. Patnaude. He was employed as a coach bus driver by Van Galder and Coash USA and school bus driver for Winnebago, Rockford and Durand for 40 years. He served with the National Guard from 1967- 1973. He was a member of Pecatonica United Methodist Church.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include his wife Gerrie Dunaway, Durand, IL; son Scott (Dena) Dunaway, Winnebago, IL; daughter Mary Dunaway, Rockford, IL; granddaughter Siera Elizabeth Dunaway; step grandson Ryan Scott and brother Irv (Susan) Dunaway, Winnebago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Elizabeth Ann.\r\n\r\nFuneral ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Pecatonica United Methodist Church, 528 Washington Street, Pecatonica, IL. Burial will be in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica, IL. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 W Main Street, Durand, IL from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 24.
