Maxine Marie Dickson, 95, Beloit, Wisconsin, died at 8:40 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in Fair Oaks Nursing Home after a brief illness. \r\r\n\r\r\n Born September 17, 1914 in Aurora, Missouri the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice M. and Clara Edith (Berry) Ford. Married Leo Harold Dickson in West Lima, Wisconsin on October 22, 1935. She was employed as a cook at Beta House and the Student Union at Beloit College for many years. Member of First Baptist Church; former member of the Beloit Canoe Club and Katy June Quilting Club in Mauston, Wisconsin. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Fair Oaks Nursing Home and Beloit Regional Hospice staffs for their tender and loving care given to mom. \r\r\n\r\r\n Survivors include daughter Nancy (Thomas E.) Vance, Beloit, Wisconsin; grandson Terry (Angie) Vance, their children Terry Miller, Scott, Trae, Tierra Vance; grandson Maurice (Casey) Vance, their children Kyle and Luke; granddaughter Lucretia Vance; special granddaughter Pennie Marie (Mike) Ferguson and special niece Ann (Bruce) Firlus. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers-Delbert, Gordon, Billy and sister June. \r\r\n\r\r\n Private memorial ceremonies to be held. Cremation rites to be accorded. Final resting place will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in South Beloit, Illinois. \r\r\n\r\r\n In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Beloit Regional Hospice, 655 Third St. Suite 200, Beloit, WI 53511.
